Co-parenting through

Separation & Divorce

Parenting apart. Together.

CONFLICTING EMOTIONS — BEHAVIOURAL CHANGES — COMMUNICATION STRUGGLES — CO-PARENTING DISPUTES

Yes, divorce is one of the most disruptive events a person can go through, especially for a child caught in the middle.  Parents arrive with many conflicting emotions, not only struggling to navigate their own thoughts and feelings, but those of their children.  Faced with a new reality, they are in survival mode.

Parents, unsure what to do for the best, can find it hard to establish a workable co-parenting relationship. Due to guilt, sadness and often an unspoken grief of their own, they react rather than respond Their children’s behaviours also start to change. Acting out, not listening, back chat, meltdowns, anxiety, shutdown...

The moment children most need consistent, emotionally secure parenting,

is the moment their parents struggle to provide it.

The Approach: a secure base across two homes

Build Regulation Skills

For you and your children

  • Feeling safe and secure when you are together or apart
  • Reduced reactivity
  • Create a secure base for you and your children

Communication

How to talk to your children & co-parent

  • Healthy anger and big emotions
  • Implementing boundaries without losing connection
  • Routines built on connection

We will go deeper than other co-parenting programmes to create lasting change. You cannot choose a co-parenting script, regulate your tone or respond with empathy when you are in fight mode or when your nervous system perceives your co-parent as a threat.

I will help you understand your attachment patterns and strengthen the bond between you and your children, whether together or apart.

My separation & divorce programmes:

1. Bespoke parent coaching on an individual basis, or for both co-parents where practicable. The structure is determined case by case after a discovery call.

2. Parenting Through Separation Programme: A unique collaboration with Rachel Jaysan (Specialist Family Lawyer & Accredited Mediator)  combining legal expertise and parent coaching for families navigating separation:

  • Rachel and I work together and separately with parents to ensure effective co-parenting and prevent long-term professional intervention.
